It's Your Day (Grand Theft Layout)

Another awesome challenge I've discovered over at ScrapMatters is called Grand Theft Layout. Here is the page I made for this week's challenge (see HERE).

Yep, it's that time again... time for my baby girl to turn one year older... simply amazing! She just had her birthday pictures taken last night at The Picture People, she was rather well behaved (after being bribed with a balloon!) and I love how the pics turned out so... there will be more birthday pages coming!

Ahhh... Christmas pages, I'm getting there...

I just LOVE this pic of Gavin so much! It was the Sunday before Christmas when my entire family gets together (which happened to be here at our house this year!) and I had just told Gavin that it was time for presents. I feel like this look says, "Okay Mommy, I've been very very good... now where are those presents???"

My First Tuesday Template Challenge

When I'm all finished with my 2010 Project for the kids, I plan on having a photobook for each of them made. So here is the opening page for each of their books which explains what the project is all about and includes their very first pics from the new year! I used Scrap Matter's "Tuesday Template" when making this layout! I really loved this template, I'll defintely be back to enter more of these challenges... thanks Scrap Matters! :)

Here We Come Steelers!

So for Brad's Christmas present this year, I bought two tickets for the December 27th Pittsburgh Steelers game aganist the Baltimore Ravens. He had recently been talking about how much he wanted to go to a game at Heinz Stadium and I knew he wouldn't expect this. I'm pretty sure this was first time I've ever surprised him with anything, gift-wise at least! Luckily, the Steelers pulled out a win (23-20) and all in all it was a wonderful day that we got to share together:

As a side note... I was surfing around Digital Crea the other day (something I do practically everyday!), when this kit popped up on the clearance side bar. It's actually a New Year's kit from last year, hence the reason it was on sale, but I couldn't have asked to find a more perfect kit for scrapping Steelers pics! It made me very happy! :)

SNA January Digi Challenge!

My 2010 Project!

So, I've done research on Project 365 in the past and thought it sounded like a really good idea but I was afraid to ever actually try it because like so many things, I knew it would be something I'd start and never finished which would make me very frustrated. Well... 2010 has inspired me and I'm going to try a 365 project in my own way: I'm going to take a photo of each of my children every day for one year. At the end of each month I will scrap a page with that month's photos (and then probably at the end of the year I will make an additional scrap showing off the whole year). I'm going to call this project: A year in the life of my children.

It sounds easy enough, just one pic per day - I practially do that already anyway! But it's amazing to think that by the time I am finished, one whole more year will have gone by in the lives of my babies! I always find how much they change in such a short amount time to be simply amazing and I want to capture that before it's too late. I must admit I'm a little nervous about this, I really really hope that I can keep up with it because I know that if I do, at this time next year I will have something amazingly memorable for me and my children to look back on.
