Halloween 2010

Wow, it's been WAY too long since I've created something just for the heck of it. These pics were taken back at the end of September, doesn't seem that long ago! Can't believe Halloween is this week already... Happy Halloween everyone!

Scrap n' Art World Cardmaking Day Blog Train!

Welcome to the Scrap n’ Art World Cardmaking Day Blog Train! If you haven’t been with us since the beginning of the train, make sure you go to Angela’s blog (http://www.theprissypixel.com/) to board. Our train is headed on a fantastic holiday tour and you won’t want to miss any of the ten stops. We start out at Halloween, head on over to Thanksgiving and end our journey at Christmas. Each blog along the way has a word that you will need to write down. At the end of the line, post the sentence you gathered from the various blogs and you will be entered to win an amazing prize package:

The train ride will be open until midnight Sunday (US Central Time Zone) and the winner will be announced on the Scrap n’ Art Blog on Monday, October 4th.

Welcome to Thanksgiving!
If you know me then you know that I'm a full blown digi girl and always will be! So what exactly can you do with cards as a digital designer? Well that's easy! First, digitally design your card front. You could make it whatever size you'd like but I went with the standard 4x6:

Next print your design out on photo paper, cut (if applicable) and adhere to cardstock:

Voila! You've got a real, 3 dimensional, hold it in your hand card! All you need to do is add your own special little message inside and it's ready to pass on to someone you love:

Now, if I were really motivated (plus had the time and proper resources) I could have totally hybrided this up a little more by decorating the front with some extra ribbons, glitter, embellishments... you get the idea. But if a sweet and simple (still hand made) sentiment is all your looking for, then you're good to go. We digi girls will not be left behind! ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by! My word for you is... Cardmaking. Next stop is Michelle’s blog (http://www.michellevocke.com/). Have a great journey!
