A Visit with the Hershey Santa

credits: Old Cottage Add-on by Noshay (Digital Crea); edited with PSE6

Last night, a few of my family members and I, traveled to Hershey to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Show. Before the show started we stopped by Chocolate World where of course Santa was hanging out. My nephew AJ wanted to go see him but I knew Isabella wouldn't be so crazy about it... we went for it anyway. She sat there giving me that famous go to hell look and I was pretty sure no nice photo was going to come of this until I said, "Smile and then you can get down." All the people standing there laughed but hey, it worked! Look at that beautiful smile and the wonderful pic of these adorable cousins with the Hershey Santa! :)

My Year in Facebook Statuses

I found this very cute... just visit this app over at Facebook and create an instant unique scrapbook page based on your statuses of this past year! Of course, I ended up driving myself nuts because I actually went through every single status to pick them myself and ended up with WAY too many for the page! I always have to make things more difficult than they really need to be!

Thanksgiving 2009

A little late but better than never! These pics were taken on Thanksgiving Day this year of the kids 'enjoying' their Thanksgiving dinner... I think all they actually ate was the corn! Oh and pie, they ate the pie too... or at least the cool whip off the top of it!

It's Pink Christmas Time!

I really LOVE seeing what people do with my work, it's always amazing to me how we can all come up with such different layouts when given the same pieces to work with. Here are two layouts that have been made with my new Dreaming of a Pink Christmas kit, they are beautiful girls - thanks so much, keep them coming! :)

SNA December Digi Challenge!

Hey everyone, I'm hosting the digi challenge this month over at Scrap N' Art and I would LOVE your support!!! Seeing as though it's the holiday season, I have come up with a wonderful holiday theme for you to work with – I want to see digital scrapbook pages with holiday song lyrics on them! I say 'holiday' because they do not need to be Christmas songs, any holiday celebrated around this time of year is fine (i.e. Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the New Year). You may use the lyrics in anyway you like, get creative! You don't need to use the lyrics of the entire song either, you may use just one line if that's what works! Something as simple as "Oh Christmas Tree" or "I'm Dreaming of a White Chritmas" would be perfect!

Need some inspiration? This is a page I made last year of my children meeting Rudolph at a local attraction, Christmas Village. I made a background overlay with the lyrics of the song, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:

Visit the SNA Forum HERE to post your pages by 1/3. A winner will be choosen at random and they will receive a special freebie from me as well as a $5 coupon for Carol Zeitz's shop (a fellow SNA digiscrapper). Hope you have fun with this challenge, can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

A Reminder of Why I LOVE Digital!

So just a little over a month ago I had shared this page:

Well, last night I was looking for pictures of my grandmother for a xmas present I'm working on for her. I remembered that I had used one on this page and went back to get it. To my surprise when I opened the folder, there was a second picture of my Nanny holding Isabella and it was much nicer than the one I had used on this page - Isabella is actually looking at the camera and smiling! I'm not quite sure how I missed this photo since it was right at the beginning of the same folder as the other one but it made me very angry! The problem is easily enough fixed digitally (see below), thank goodness I remembered what editing I did to all the other photos. BUT this is one of the pages that was printed in the photo book I recently ordered! Grrr... I need to order some 4x6 photo prints soon and my plan is to get a photo printed with just the area of the page with the new photo. Maybe I can cut it out and glue it on top of the old page, though it's going to be obvious no matter what I do! I know this probably seems silly to most of you but little things like this bug me big time and after all the time I spent making not just this page but the book itself, I'm majorly bugged right now! Just a reminder of why I love digital - that correction was finished (and flawless) in about 2 minutes!

Gray Family Christmas 2009

So we got our annual Christmas photos taken yesterday morning and I just couldn't wait to scrap them, obviously! The kids were their usual uncooperative selves which I know is hard to imagine by the sweet faces you see here - just thank goodness for stuffed kitties and tennis balls... and grown men who aren't afraid to get down on their hands and knees and make children giggle! :)

Revision Time - Real Men Wear Pink!

So I when I just went through all my pages, I picked out a few that I really wanted to revise. Here is the first one - I originally scrapped this pic way back in April of 08, my first month of scrapping... it almost pains me to look at it now!

credits: Scrapbook Flair Freebies & Software

And here is the revision that I made today... much better! :)

credits: Cute as a Monster by Choukette (Digital Crea); edited with PSE6

The journaling reads: One night when mommy went to get you ready for bed, I realized that you didn’t have anymore clean pajamas! It was a cold winter night and I couldn’t let you sleep naked. Instead, I dug out an old pair of your sister’s pajamas. You looked very excited to be wearing them at the time. If anyone ever asks, just tell them - real men wear pink!

So yeah... things have been a little quiet over here haven't they?!? That's just because I've been working on my new Facebook fan page! Brother & Sister

credits: The True Romance by Loloden (DigitalCrea); Family Sentiments Words by Avdesigns (DigitalCrea); edited with PSE6

I originally scrapped this photo over a year ago (see below) but was never happy with it. When I came across the same quote that I used back then in a new wordart pack I just bought, I was inspired to try it again... and I am MUCH happier with this result! This is one of my fav pics of the kids together! :)

See - nothing too special at all! Guess I wasn't feeling very creative that day!
